Rosters set for Grand Rapids area basketball all-star game

CALEDONIA, Mich. - Some of the top boys high school basketball seniors in the O-K Conference will get to wear their team’s jersey one more time.

The annual Ring of Fire Basketball All-Star Games will be held June 4 and 5 at Davenport University at 7:30 p.m. The players were nominated by coaches and the rosters were put together by event organizer Steve Project. The games are sponsored by Meijer. Proceeds benefit Davenport athletics. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for kids. Or $20 for a family. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

In Game 1 on June 4, an MVP will be named for each team. The MVPs have the option to also play in Game 2.

Grand Rapids Catholic Central’s Durral Brooks, who won the Michigan Mr. Basketball Award, plans to be at Game 2, but will not play.
