GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Harrison Sorrelle is back on the market.

The Grand Haven native has announced he is transferring out of the Air Force Academy.

He played basketball this season at the Air Force prep school, where he averaged 15 points per game.

“I would like to thank the Air Force Academy coaches for the amazing opportunity, as well as the prep school coaches, for their time and energy this season,” Sorrelle posted on Twitter. “That being said, I’ve made the decision to de-commit and reopen my recruitment.”

The 6-foot-6 guard graduated from Grand Haven High School last spring when he was first-team, All-State in Division 1.

“I hate to leave because its a good opportunity and I’ve met so many cool people,” Sorrelle said. “But it just wasn’t for me. The military isn’t what I want to pursue.”

Sorrelle has four years of eligibility.
