Allendale senior Jacksen Fitton passes away
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Jacksen Fitton, a senior at Allendale High School, died on Sunday, Nov. 17.
The cause of death wasn’t made known publicly.
Fitton, 18, was a guard on the Allendale basketball team and played on varsity since he was a sophomore.
He played travel basketball with The Shore this past season and MBA last season. In September, he got an offer to play basketball from the University of Olivet.
Fitton is the son of Jasen and Carrie Fitton and has three younger siblings.
According to the obituary, “Jacksen was a caring and loving brother to his 3 younger siblings, Chase (15), Sophia (14), and Sydney (12). His parents (Jasen and Carrie) loved him more than anyone could ever know. He also had many close relatives that loved him very much. We can't forget his four-legged chocolate lab (Remy) that slept with him almost every night.
Jacksen was the best son and big brother.”
Fitton’s basketball talents also were mentioned in the obituary.
“He was an exceptional student and outstanding athlete. He was so looking forward to continuing his education and pursuing his passion and dreams of playing basketball in college. Jacksen was a fighter and competitor in every sense of the word. For him there was never a challenge that was too difficult. He lived out his motto NEVER GIVE UP. His many teammates throughout the years became some of his best friends that reached over numerous schools across West Michigan. He also had some amazing coaches that were like family to him. They spent so many hours and days together and made wonderful memories that will never be forgotten.”
